Building Family Ties Through Camp

Here at Heartland we offer two great camps that can help bond families together in a special way that is unique, at a Christ-centered facility with beautiful grounds.

Grandparent Camp welcomes grandparents and their grandchildren, ages four through eighteen, to a two-day adventure.  Come and be together in a beautiful outdoor setting; participate in fun activities as well as meals and quiet time.  This is an opportunity to bridge generations and enhance your relationship with your grandchildren. This year Grandparent Camp will be held June 18 and 19.

Family Camp is a time when parents and children can share the camping experience. In these times, it can be challenging to find time for quality interactions with one another..  At Family Camp you have many options including simple rest and relaxation, or exciting and challenging activities.  The camp begins on Friday evening and continues through Sunday morning. It includes meals, games, swimming at the pool and a campfire experience.  This year the dates are July 15 through 17

To enroll for either camp, go to the heartlandcamps.org website.

Having Fun at Heartland Center!

Now that spring is here, it is a great time to enjoy recreation and fun activities here at Heartland. Consider bringing your group to our campus for team building or relationship building; you can participate just for a morning or afternoon, or stay for the day.

Complimentary camp activities include a disc golf course, sand volleyball, basketball, horseshoes or hiking on the variety of trails that are available.

For a modest charge, challenge courses are also offered.  These include:

--The Edge:  This course challenges your group to think creatively as a team to overcome obstacles and collaborate in unique ways.

--The Summit:  There is a 40 foot tower with a zip line to permit participants to reach new heights while overcoming barriers.

--The "CLIP" Course: Here you will enjoy the rock climbing wall, the zip line and a high-ropes experience. It provides lots of fun for those who take part.

Besides these great program options, groups can enjoy archery, horse back riding or a private swim in the new aquatic facility that has been recently completed.
